What's new
Jul 2026
- The Project field is now a live search — start typing to match against project and customer names from ROTOR, or pick "No project / Not listed" to enter one manually as free text
- Security and performance hardening — uploaded photo storage paths are now fully server-generated, photos are organised by type in storage, and the admin registers cap their initial load so they stay fast as reports accumulate
- The findings and checklists registers now have a Print button — it produces a clean, printer-friendly table of exactly what you’ve filtered on screen (active tab, search and status filters included), with notes and flagged declarations
- The New Tool report is now "New Tool / Remove Tool" — flag tools that shouldn’t be on the standard container list. Remove-tool reports require confirming the tool is in the New Tools box with a tag indicating it can be removed, and appear alongside new tools in the admin register
- Findings can now be deleted from the admin register — expand an entry and use "Delete finding" to permanently remove rubbish or nuisance reports, including their notes and photos (with a confirmation step)
- Toolbox Audit, the Tool box catalog, and the TCTP tool number field are hidden for v1 — tool fields are plain free text for now. Everything is kept intact behind a single feature switch and will return in a later release
- Tool boxes can now carry up to 6 reference images (e.g. how the box should be packed) — attach them when adding or editing a catalog entry, and auditors see them at the top of the audit for that box with a tap-to-enlarge viewer
- QR labels can now be printed directly — a "Print label" button opens a clean, print-ready layout so you can send a box/container label straight to a label printer
- The catalog is now the "Tool boxes" register — it holds tool boxes and containers, not individual tools; labels throughout the app have been updated to match
- Tool catalog now leads with an "Add tool" button for entering single line items by hand; the Excel import is now a tidy, collapsible option beside it
- Scanning or typing a TCTP number now looks it up in the tool catalog and shows the matching tool name and description inline, with a one-tap option to fill in the finding details — in both quick reports and audits
- Tool catalog now generates a printable QR label per tool — encodes the TCTP number and shows the tool name and number, ready to scan straight into the report or audit TCTP field (the separate QR codes page has been retired)
- Tool catalog: admins can keep an editable, Excel-importable list of tools (name, description, TCTP, fleet) that pre-fills report and audit entry — pick a tool or keep typing freely, filtered to the project’s ROTOR fleet
- Audit register items now show the tool name as a heading separate from the description, for a cleaner read at scale
- General comments and attachments now sit together at the bottom of an audit under a "Notes & attachments" heading
- Audit list now pulls in newly-raised reports so open-audit item counts are accurate before you drill in
- New Tool report: log newly purchased tooling to be added to a toolbox’s standard container list — available as a quick report and inside audits, with a required New Tools box confirmation and its own admin tab
- Audits now pull in a toolbox’s open Missing/Damaged reports automatically — confirm each as resolved or still open, then add anything new found on the day
- Toolbox/container fields now have QR/barcode scanning on every form
- Damaged-tool reports now require a quarantine & supervisor-notified declaration
- Project fields are now a dropdown of live execution-phase projects from ROTOR — no more free-text project names
- Toolbox Audit: build a shared draft register of missing/damaged items with photos, then submit it to the warehouse
- Security hardening: framework patched, database and storage locked down, stricter sign-up protection
- Pre-Return Checklist now supports optional comments and photo uploads
- Findings now record the last status change — who made it and when
- Sign-in remembers recent usernames on your device for quick access
- Missing tools now ask whether a replacement was bought on site, so the warehouse won’t double-order
- Suggestions have their own page; Missing/Damaged starts with no option selected
- New landing page to choose Missing/Damaged, Suggestions, or Pre-Return Checklist
- Pre-Return Checklist: pre-shipping declaration that blocks submission until any "No" is fixed
- Now presented under the Siemens Energy brand
- Register view is now the default layout for findings
- Register view toggle: switch findings to a fixed-column table layout
- Anti-spam protection on the report form: rate limiting plus bot traps
- Light/dark mode toggle in the header, remembers your preference
- Share button on the report form: show a QR linking to the open form
- Team page: admins can add or remove whitelist emails themselves
- Search bar covering every field, plus status filter chips
- Suggestions now live in their own tab, separate from Damaged & Missing
- Compact register view: findings collapse to a heading, expand for detail
- New "Finding" summary field separate from full details
- Database connected: findings, notes, and photos now fully live
- Rebranded to Toolwise by Siemens Energy
- TCTP Tool Number field with QR/barcode camera scanning
- Toolwise launched: field reporting form with QR box prefill
- Photo attachments from camera or camera roll
- Warehouse admin area with status workflow and notes
- QR code generator for box labels
